Associate Intern, Advanced Manufacturing

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Associate Intern will assist the EMF Ventures team on a project evaluating investment opport
unities in a specific sector of Advanced Manufacturing. By the end of the 10 week internship, the
individual will have developed an understanding of potential investment opportunities associated
with the sector, and will have summarized the project in a document and presentation for the EMF
Ventures team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on 1-2 key areas of potential investment
  • Assist in screening investment opportunities
  • Prepare investment committee pitches for potential deals and help present to senior
  • Participate in deal due diligence & closing
  • Develop and evaluate financial models for potential investments
  • Develop diligence data requests and help manage diligence process with target company
  • Facilitate negotiation of deal documentation

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Pursuing Master’s degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Educational background in engineering, physical sciences, or other relevant field
  • Working knowledge of Finance and Valuation concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter
